Activity inspired by John Rowe Moyle, LDS Pioneer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Rowe_Moyle
We walked 13.3 miles to Seattle temple. We started at 7am and ate lunch in a park, and walked until 4pm. We had 3 rest stops where we had a short inspiring message about temple blessing by a ward member. It is not allowed to gather on temple ground for a 'meeting' so we met at the stake center next door to temple and temple president and his wife spoke with the girls about the importance and significance of a sacrifice the temple has been and may be to them in the future, but worth all the effort. Heavenly Father is most pleased with them this day, and so our their leaders and parents.
| sometimes the path to the temple can be close, tight and easy |
| sometimes we get relaxed and move away from the comfort of each other and/or HF |
| sometimes we get to follow and the road is easier |
| sometime we lose our way or walk alone |
| sometime we need the cover/protection of others to guide our path to the temple |
| the road to the temple is sometimes not easy and we need to prepare our selves for the difficulties to come |
| we may get hurt or need the help of other to keep us motivated |
| the path to the temple has fences to keep us on the straight and narrow. Youth Standards, church, seminary, commandments, Holy Ghost, family, prayer |
| the path to the temple is not always easy, we may have to hurdle some walls, but you can still make it |
| Our first glimpse of the temple, no matter how far off the temple seems the pathway to get there is for everyone. |
| Temple is for uniting friends |
| we waited for some friends who had fallen behind and lost. |
| Keeping our eye on the prize; about a mile away still. |
WE MADE IT!!..... together all of us. :)
