Cabin Fever Get-Away 2013 -The Hike

Our little Marriott Resort had a hiking trial on a hill.  we decided to take  it and i was going to practice my photography skills and they were suppose to stay our of the cactus barbs........

Cactus Kingdom?

Im telling to be careful, cactus barbs don't come out of the skin too easily

He wasn't watching where he was going and stepping on a cactus and.... ya he can't touch it to remove it.  we have a problem.  Look for  a stick or rock....

meanwhile he bumps into a cholla cactus GADS! just like when he was 1.

He moves and gets stuck by the other  cactus 'arm'

"put your arms down"  "walk away from the cactus"

Savanah made it to the top of the trial.

Garrett reached the summit.

Unfortunatley we  had to head right back down because Jamie got a Cactus Barb DEEP in his finger trying to get barbs our of his shoes.  He went to the concierge and asked for tweezers and first aid kit.  Let me just tell you I had to pull HARD on that barb with tweezers  to pull it out of his finger and he said it hurt pretty bad. Fun hike over with.  :(
