Sunday Ritual

I have no idea how this became "the way it is". It doesn't matter if we have 9 o'clock church or 1 o'clock church as soon as we get home the sunday clothes get shed and the pajamas go on. On any other day, the pajamas are avoided like a plague as if putting them on you would get sucked into the nighttime routine and be sent to bed immediately. It didn't seem odd to me even until the Home Teachers came over and we were all in our pj's. A little emabarassing:)
Everyone in their pj's after church....it is noon!

Are church clothes that uncomfortable?! We usually do the same thing if we don't have plans to go somewhere. It's a day of rest!

OMG!! we do the same thing. Everyone is in their pj's within an hour of getting home from church. (It takes me a little longer cause I must feed the starving masses before they devour each other.)

Lynette, and Lorna do a really good job of wearing nice clothes for the day. I on the other hand, would fit in perfect with you guys. The tie comes off, and the pj's go right back on baby! Many a times somebody has come over just minutes after church and I am already in my pj's. sometimes it gets funny looks, but hey! It's comfortable right?

We're of the Sunday = PJ day variety as well. But I don't think I'd be embarrassed if the home teachers came over. I'd wonder why they still had their church clothes on.

I did put a dress on when the bishop was coming over to give me a new calling... and he was in jeans and a t-shirt... so there.

Besides, getting out of your church clothes so soon saves them for another day. Nothin wrong with that. The most awkward time I experienced was in Kansas when the Branch President and his counselor came over to extend a call to me and I greeted them in bathrobe, flannel nightgown and curlers in my hair. They'd even made an appointment. They were in suits and ties. oh well.
