Halloween

I wish I could love Halloween, only because I see that so many people do. The idea 'seems' like it should be; a time to go back in time and play dress-ups, act silly, and ask for candy from strangers. But this is how I see it, you need to spend more money and make the greatest costume of your life so that all your friends and neighbors can know how fun and creative you are. And do we do Creepy Halloween, Scary Halloween, Fall harvest Halloween, Blood & Gore halloween; which way do you go? Most seem a little sacra-ligious. Despite my lack of enthusiasm, the kids always seem to come up with and idea for a costume. This year was a clear chose for Savanah and Garrett. Katelyn is living in limbo--should I go? should I dress up? should I just stay home? She opted for staying home this year and despite a last minute effort to have some friends over she got to play Rockband to her hearts content and watched "the Others" when we got back from trick-or-treating the neighborhood with Garrett and his friends. Savanah spent the night at a friends house.
