In 4th grade students study their state history. Part of the science curriculum is the life cycle of salmon. As part of this, Garrett and his classmates raise salmon in a 55 gallon tank at school and then release them into a local river that is 'home' to lots of yummy salmon come October! As the kids were each taken to the tank and scooped a number of baby frye, traditional has it that the kids name their salmon. There was Chum, Sushi, Bob, Jeffery, and Fred. Garrett named his Lunch and Dinner! LOL By the time we got to the riverbank he had changed their names to BBQ and Shishkabob. He got down to the riverbank and tossed those poor little salmon out of his bowl like old dish water, so....... cross your fingers.
