First Date

Katelyn got 2 first dates. Jamie takes them out first before any other boy. They talk about what to expect, manners, and rules like curfew and opening doors. Jamies took Katelyn out on Friday, April 9 first to Sushi, her favorite for dinner, and then to a musical theater, The Gypsy King.

Her second first date was the very next day on our way home from the Tulip Festival, Katelyn tells everyone to "be quiet its Quinton" calling her on her phone. Savanah and Garrett take that as a que to pick at each other of course. LOL Quinton turned 16 three days before Katelyn and he asked her out to the movie with a group of other dates. He aked her to the 9:20 movie How to Train Your Dragon. We were still on our way home form Skagit County in bumper to bumper traffic, freeway speed aboout 40. so this 1 hour drive home was going to take a little longer. Katelyn decides we should take a detour. so we dutifully followed to GSP....... until we reach ROAD CLOSED. LOL Now she is starting to Freak out. GPS says we will arrive home at 7: 35 then as we are not making that much progress the time changes, 8: 09, 8:12, 8:17. Quinton is picking her up at 8:30 and we have been walking through muddy tulip fields all day. Can you sense the tension and anxiety? :) We make it home at 8:17 and she RUNS like I never seen her run and she brushes her teeth first. LOL Jamie makes her wair upstairs so that he has a chance to answer the door and pour onthe third degree "where are you going" , "when will you be back". As they leave I scramble for the camera and thought I'd get a picture without them know. HA! well it is not a good one, but it will have to do. when she got home all she said was " are you kidding me?, you took a picture?" and I said I sure did, you noticed? LOL
