It was scout Sunday so Garrett was asked to switch to a white short and tie for the ordination. I HATE ironing, but his morning I honored my son's worthiness to recieve the Aaronic priesthood by making sure his white shirt was perfectly ironed. He is a handsome young man. I love watching him tie his own tie, something about it is so endearing to me. He is growing up before my eyes, and perhaps it is a tangible view of his testimony.
I didn't know it would touch me so much to witness his ordination. The Spirit was palable, and I could not deny the truth. It felt beautiful. Just as Peter, James and John layed their hands on Joseph Smith's head and conferred the Aaronic Priesthood on him. Now my son is making good and wise choices to follow his Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ. I am a proud Momma today. I have a son with the priesthood. :D
