For those of us that weren't born in the last decade TOLO is a girls choice dance. Very different than the casual dances I went to. This is Katelyn's first TOLO and she asked Triston, a young man from South Africa. She went with a group of 30 couples all LDS; they opted to skip the school dance entirely. I was shocked to learn that not only is modesty a big issue, but the dance is dominated with grind lines. Katelyn spent most of the Homecoming dance 'in the bathroom' trying to avoid the grind line. Come to find out the LDS youth in our stake throw their own dance to coincide with the school dance. So this was very fun, and Katelyn was looking forward to this one. She started to primping at 12 NOON and didnt get home until 1 AM.
The 30 couples divided up into 6 'baby groups'. The attire was determined to be formal. Dinner at Buca de Beppo a fun Italian place. Dance at the church house, change clothes, picture scavenger hunt around Sammamish, and back to another girls home for chocolate fondue.
