Boys Weekend in SLC
With Garrett turning 12 this year and being ordained a Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood. I wanted to support my only son in developing his love, appreciation, and testimony of this gift. So Jamie and Garrett spent this weekend in SLC and went to the Priesthood session of Conference together. From what I understand it was hard to sit for the whole 2 hours at age 12. But I am grateful we had the opportunity to provide him the experience. To be able to sit in the same room as the Living Prophet of God on earth today... right now is an unparrelleled experience. Photos the follow.... the guys went tie shopping, IN-n-Out burger and hopefully to Dimecade. they fly in tomorrow so I won't get the full details til then.

Never heard of the Gum Wall and stuff in Seattle! We might need to check that out. Also, I love Red Mango too and my favorite is the white peach with strawberries! Great minds think alike:):)
Seems as though a few of the "Karren" men were at one session of conference or another. I was saying to my kids, "wouldn't it be great if all the "Karren" men (Daddy, Robert, Roger, hopefully Richard someday, Bennett, Jamie, Randon, Andrew, Ryan, Pat, Stu, Garrett, Nathan and of course Jacob and Zac when they are older) got together every year to attend the priesthood session and celebrate their priesthood together?"
any conference you want to go NATHAN!!! when can you be here? Not sure Gpa will hold out for Jake and Zac so you should all just start now, maybe you could all get a few under your belts before the oldest generation 'moves on' to the next phase of eternity. :)
