College Bound

WOW!!!  what a milestone. it seems so long Katelyn was my little baby girl, but so very fast we sped through all the years of growing up and learning.  you know at the end of the summer when you are so ready for the kids to get back into school?  well God plays that joke again when kids get ready to graduate end move to college.  She was ready to go and i was ready to let her be on her own and find out a how a few things really work.  I love her, to the moon and back, but it is time.   she is going to what I consider home.  we vacationed there endless  times all her life, we have family still in Logan and she is going to attend USU, my alma maude r.  So no, I am not nervous for her to be on her own.  she is familiar with the area and has family just in case and I loved USU.  we are headed out to good 'ol cache valley again this summer to take Savanah to EFY and we will visit a bit with Katelyn and spend some family time together before she hits the books again.   then I will head out again in AUg to help her move into her apt.  I have a weekend scheduled in SLC with Lynette in November, so I'll check in on her again. Then she is home for Christmas.  :) See.  it will be fine. she will be fine. i will be fine. we are all fine..........  :) so far so good anyway.  Katelyn was a little homesick last week; frustrated with no job offers, no friends, no church. Sunday she attended her YSA ward in Smithfield and txt Jamie and I in Sunday School   "I have friends!!!!"  we are so glad she can see the light again and is excited to move forward.  now if we can get her a job ASAP she will be able to relax a bit more.
all packed and ready to head to airport, she is excited to be on her own.

18 years of life all comes down to two suitcases.

"Last chance to change your mind......."  no chance  :(  :)  :(  :)

when she got in line for security and didn't look back, Jamie and I hugged and shred of few tear s of joy, relief, anxiousness, and apprehension.  I had a thought of that might be how our Father in Heaven feels as he sent us on our way...... hoping we turn back sometimes to say hello, to smile, to just chat, or ask for help when we need it.
