I get all the crazies it seems. I am headed to Cache Valley to visit family. Arrived at airport and proceeded to gate, uneventfully. They even upgraded me to First Class, cool right? I thought so, This is a first for me and i was going to like it..... so I thought. I spotted a lady whom I suspect also had MS, boarding the plane with me. We both sat in the first isle seats across from each other. My window partner was an older woman, whose companion was seated in the back of the plane. She was a chatty one and proceeded to tell me her saga. She, we'll call her Bev, got upgraded with a small amount of cash, but her companion was not so lucky, so she was going to take advantage of this opportunity of freww drinks and first class service front the flight attendants. Prior to take off we get a drink, including alcoholic beverages. Bev had a couple. ok, so she said she needed to relax, ok. I got to hear all about up coming vacation plans to sit in the sun by the pool and drink. awesome. Bev is getting more relaxed and more chatty. she is trying to catch my attention every time I get a chance to visually break away from the conversation and make eye contact with my MS friend across the isle. She and her seat companion are hearing EVERYTHING and the feeling of sympathy are oozing from their expressions and they are giggling. I now know that Bev is a lesbian and her partner is sitting in the rear. GREAT. Meanwhile we get lunch served and Bev asks for more alcohol. after lunch is cleared I take the opportunity to put in my head phones and a movie and Bev is still talking to me. Bev has now crossed the physical touching barrier and is tapping me or touching my leg to get my attention to her conversation, because i am not responding anymore. After I remove my headphones a couple times to politely respond she gently grabs my knee and beginning to run her hand UP MY THIGH! I quickly picked up her hand and moved it back into her own space and turned away. Headphones back in my ears, I ignored her until we were approaching airport and had to turn off electronics. She excuses herself to her go to the restroom. Seatbelt sign is on but she is ignoring it. Oh well, she is not my concern. The flight attendants let her proceed and patiently wait for her. We are actually descending and Bev is still in lavatory, flight attendants are now knocking on the door and telling her to take her seat. After several attempts they get in the lavatory, and find Bev with her pants around her ankles and completely incapacitated to coordinated the necessary means to dress and take her seat. One of them holds Bev up, other pulls her pants up. then they walk her back to her seat, buckles her in and Bev asks for another drink. HA! She did not get another drink and she was told to stay seated until everyone else has deplaned before she was excused.
This is my story. it still disturbs me to think about it. I should never be so kind. not everyone deserves my attention.
